Angel Protector Chapter 21: Training

The princess slowly put down her cup onto the table and fixed her gaze upon Sera.

"You must be wondering how i know isn't it?"
"Yes..."
"I can even see one of your angels now."

The princess points to Sera and all of them turns to look at each other with a worried look. The princess stands up gracefully and walks towards Sera. When she walked in front of him, she stopped and did a polite curtsy as Sera looked on in surprise.
"Pleasure to meet you."

Sera gave a polite bow to the princess.
"The pleasure is mine Princess."
The princess smiled at him and walked back to her seat. Ayumi and Sakura just continued staring at each other in disbelief.
"Princess, how come you can see Sera?" asked Sakura.
"Is that the name of your angel?"
"Yes my name is Sera."
"I'm not too sure why I can suddenly see angels and demons."
"Demons? Was that how you got those injuries?" Ayumi asked worriedly.
"Yes, but an angel by the name of Raphael came to my rescue."
"Did you say Raphael?"
"Yes do you know him?"
"He's one of the few archangels in Divinia who is good at fighting and magic.""
"No wonder he killed that werewolf so easily."
"Werewolf? Is everyone at the castle alright?"
"1 guard died but everyone else is fine."

The princess continued to tell them the story that happened the previous night as they listened closely to her, not wanting to miss out on any detail. After the princess told them everything, everyone relaxed themselves.

"You've heard my story, now let me hear yours. Why are you both angels?"
"To be honest, we aren't very sure either."
"This whole situation is all very confusing."

Silence filled the air for a moment and Ayumi decided to say something after an idea came to her mind.
"Princess, would you like to see us transform into angels?"
"Ayumi!"
"Since the princess already knows we're angels, there's no harm in letting her see right?"
"She's right Sakura, there's no harm in letting the princess see."

Ayumi and Sakura both transformed into Seraphims and carried the princess and flew out the window.
"Where are we going?"
"To the hilltop where no one can disturb or see us."

As they flew above the city, the princess stared in awe both at the girls and the scenery below her. Finally after a while, they landed on a hilltop overlooking the city.
"What do we do now?" asked Sakura.
"Why not let Sakura train you?" suggested the princess.
"Hmm, that's a good idea; she has more experience than you in handling her powers." agreed Sera.
Ayumi stared at him angrily after hearing that.
"Why are you looking at me like that? You know it's true."
"I'm ok with training her but what level is she at?"
"She still needs to say the whole chant for some spells."
"We'll need a lot of training then."
"Let's get started!" said the excited Ayumi.

They got into their positions facing each other and Ayumi prepared herself for instructions from Sakura. Sakura summoned Wy out and Ayumi did the same and summoned Scyra out.

"Your element is the wind, close your eyes and feel it blowing against you."
Ayumi nodded her head and did as she was told.
"Feel the gentle breeze blowing against your whole body...be one with the breeze."
Ayumi's hair blew gently with the wind and she stood there silently concentrating on the words of Sakura.
"Imagine the breeze now changing into something stronger."
Her hair now flies more violently than jus now. The tree behind her begins to shake its branches.
"Keep it up, try to change the direction of it now."
The leaves on the branches now stopped for awhile. Not long after, it started blowing in the other direction.

"You can stop now Ayumi, you did a good job."
The wind instead of stopping started blowing more fiercely. Wind spiraled around Ayumi as she stood there as if in a trance. The force of the spiraling wind made her slowly float in the air as the wind slowly lifted her body up.
"Ayumi stop! It's going out of control." shouted Sera.
"What should we do now?" asked the princess worriedly.
"Let me try." said Sakura

"Wy, use water prison on that whole area! Bind tat tornado! Don't let it go near the city."
"Yes mistress."

Wy used water prison on the hilltop and it glowed brightly, but the tornado continued to spin violently.
"It's not working..."
"I don't have a choice then...Wy, lets merge."
"As you command mistress."
"Canon mode hurry!"
"Affirmative, canon mode activated."
"Deluge canon full power!"

The deluge canon attack started to charge as light slowly build up at the tip of her staff. After a while a beam of blue light shot straight at the Ayumi who was floating inside the tornado.

Angel Protector Chapter 20: The Secret Revealed

The morning light shone unto the princess' face and someone walked into her room quietly.
"Good morning sleepyhead, time to wake up."

The princess opened her eyes slowly and rubbed her eyes.
"Let me sleep a while more father, I felt like I didn't sleep at all."
"Now my daughter, you're going to be late for your lessons."

The princess sat up slowly and got dressed. She walked out with her father and stopped him for a while.
"Father, I would like to go somewhere today."
"Where would that be?"
"I want to visit Sakura and Ayumi."
"The two girls you helped?"
"Yes father..."
"I don't see any harm in visiting them; you may go after your lessons."
"Thank you father."

The princess was anxious to finish her lessons and rushed her teachers to end it early. Even though they were rushing through the lesson, the princess still answered the questions correctly. After everything was done, she got into the car and asked her driver to go to Ayumi's house.

Ayumi and Sakura had just finished school and were walking to Ayumi's house; Sera was beside them. They were talking about their familiars.
"What type of familiar is yours, Sakura?"
"It's a fairy, her name is Wy."
"Wow that's so cool, all I have is an oversized bird who eats like a pig."
"Haha, but it seems strong."
"But Sakura, you seem like you have a lot of experience."

Sakura kept silent for a while and replied, "I had training..."
"Training? By who?"
"My Guardian..."
"Guardian, you mean...?"
"Yes Sera, a Guardian like you."
"Where is he? Why isn't he with you?"
"He got killed while protecting me..."
"What?"
"It was a few years back, we were going home from training and suddenly we got attacked by what looked like a human with a bull's head."
"What happened?"
"It charged at us with incredible speed and power. I was taken by surprise and was open to his attack; my Guardian risked his life to save mine."
"And what happened to that beast?"
"I destroyed it, I was overcome by so much anger, I fired my deluge cannon at full power without knowing it."

Silence filled the air as Sakura told her story. As they reached Ayumi's house, they saw a big car pull up in front of it. Wondering who it was, the girls stood there expecting someone to get off the car. Joy filled their faces as the door opened and they saw the princess step out. The princess looked slightly surprised to see them there and ran to them.

"Sakura! Ayumi! It's so good to see you again!"
"Princess Evie! What are you doing here?
"It's been a long time since we saw each other so I decided to pay you girls a visit."
"Please come in princess."
"Please make yourself at home."
"Don't worry about me. I'm the one that bought you this house after all."
"Both of us are really grateful to you for doing all this for us." Sakura bows humbly to the princess.
"Have a cup of tea, princess." Ayumi brings a hot cup of tea to the table.
"So this is the princess huh?" Thought Sera.
"Please girls, do not be so formal with me. You can call me by name."
"But you're the..."
"I've looked upon both of you as my friends; please call me by my name."

The two girls nod their heads as princess sipped slowly from the cup. Sera stood behind and saw some scratch marks on her neck.
"Ayumi, the princess has some scratch marks on her neck."

Ayumi nods her head to Sera and continues to join in the conversation.
"Princess, I notice you have some scratch marks on your neck. Did something happen?"

Hearing this, the princess hurriedly covers her neck with her hands. Sensing something was amiss; Sakura walks over to her and removes her hand. Sakura gasps in shock as she sees he marks.
"These weren't made by humans were they?'

The princess didn't answer and looks to the ground.
"Princess since you see us as your friends you must tell us what happened to you."

Sera thinks for a moment and whispers something to Ayumi. She looks shocked after hearing what Sera said.
"Were those marks made by a werewolf?"
The princess looks up in surprise and stares at both of them.

After a while the princess nods her head and the two girls open their mouths in shock.
"Why?"
"How?"
"Before I answer you, I must ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Are both of you angels?"

Ayumi drops her cup and Sakura nearly spits out what she was drinking.
"How did she...?" thought Sera.

Angel Protector Chapter 19: Raphael

Heavy breathing came from under the table as the princess continued to shiver in fear. The door was getting pounded and it caused the princess to cower in the darkness. Despite the constant beating, the door didn't seem to be on the verge of breaking. After a while, the pounding stopped and the princess looked at the door with caution. She got up from under the table and walked slowly towards the door. She raised her hand towards the door knob slowly, her hand still shivering. Just as she was about to touch the knob, it turned by itself slowly and eerily. The princess' eyes widened in fear as the door creaked open slowly. The princess backed away from the door as it opened; expecting someone to walk through it. The door opened fully but there was no one in sight. Seeing that there was no one in sight, the princess gave a sigh of relief.

"Looks like that thing is gone...I wonder if that soldier was killed."

The princess walked towards the door, going to check on the soldier that she saw. As she walked closer and closer to the place she saw him, the sight that she saw made her look away in disgust. There was blood splattered all over the walls and floor and he was missing an arm, clearly it had been bitten off.

"What's going on here..."

The princess looked around her and suddenly felt something drip on her head. She looked up and saw two bright red eyes staring at her. Those jewel like eyes stared at her intently with an evil aura. Slowly, she saw it move towards her, but she still could not make out what it was. The princess took a step back with the creature still on the wall, inching forward slowly. Suddenly the princess dashes away, the creature was irritated by this and growled loudly, giving chase behind her; running on the wall and jumping from wall to wall.

"Help! Someone help me please!"

The creature was much faster than her and jumped in front of her. She screamed the moment the moon shone its light upon the creature; it was a werewolf. Its claws grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against the wall, growling as he did that. Fresh blood dripped from its fangs as he breathed unto the pale face of the princess. The princess struggled frantically to loosen it grip on her but to no avail. Just as the beast was about to bite her it suddenly let go of her and it dropped dead on the floor. The princess fell to the ground with a thud and she saw a pair of legs in front of her. Curious to know who saved her, she looked up and saw an archangel. He had shoulder length hair and his blood glimmered in the moonlight.

"What..are..you?"
"Is that anyway to talk to someone who just saved your life?"
"Are you an angel?"
"Can't you tell?"
"You're pretty rude for an angel..."
"And you're pretty useless as a princess."

The princess glared at him and got up slowly from the ground. The archangel didn't seem to care about her and looked away.

"What was that thing anyway?"
"What do you think it was?"
"It looked like a werewolf..."
"There you go, it was a werewolf."

The princess glared at him again but the angel looked away again.

"Why did it attack me?"
"Because..."
"Yes?"
"It found you irritating."
"Huh?!"
"I should have let it kill you if I knew you were so irritating too."

The princess suddenly stopped and pulled out the angel's sword from its shaft. She pointed it at him and stared at him coldly. The angel was slightly taken aback but gave a small smirk.

"Now answer my question."
"Fine, I'll answer your question. Do you remember the two girls whom you helped at the destroyed village years ago?"
"Sakura and Ayumi?"
"The demons want both of them dead. And somehow they found out that you were the one helping them."
"Demons..."
"What are you so surprised about? You're looking at an angel in front of you."
"Hmmm."
"Now return my sword."

The princess stretched out her hand and the angel grabbed his sword back from her quickly and put it in the shaft.

"Now my little princess, we should clean up this mess."
"It's surprising no one woke up from all that noise."
"That's because I set up a barrier to block the noise, if more people came out, they would have died."

The angel closed his eyes and concentrated on saying some spell. The blood stains disappeared and his body disappeared as flickers of light.

"Wow..."
"Now princess Evie, back to your room."
"*pouts* I'm not a small kid."
"Yes you are, go on now."
"Fine I'm going, I'm going, but before that tell me your name."
"My name is...Raphael."

He flies away into the night sky but turns back for a moment to make sure princess Evie has returned to her room.

Angel Protector Chapter 18 : Doubts

Christy walked up to Michael from behind him while he was giving some instructions to a few angels. He dismissed them and turned to Christy.

"Michael, I've sealed the book."
"That's faster than expected, good job."
"Thanks."
"By the way, the minor tremor just now?"
"It was the reaction from both books."
"Is it under control?"
"Don't worry, it is."
"The situation now isn't too good."
"What do you mean?"
"We suffered many casualties from that attack."
"The castle has taken some damage too I see." said Christy as she turned to see the building behind her, parts had been chipped off.
"Repairs are already in progress."

A few angels were flying over the damaged parts, using their wands to repair the damage. The building little by little was being restored.

"If Lucifer makes an attack now while we are doing repairs, i fear we might not be able to take the assault."
"But is that really his plan? Losing the book just to attack Divinia while we are doing repairs."
"I'm not sure...I'm really not..."
"But it's a risk to lose the book, doesn't he know that?"
"What do you mean by that christy?"
"The power or darkness will decrease without the book of darknes in their possession."
"Hmmm."
"What could he be planning?"

"We'll see, till then we must gather back our forces."

Back in Ayumi's house, Sera was sleeping at the side of Ayumi. Suddenly, a gentle stir from Ayumi made Sera wake up. She tried to open her eyes but got blinded by the lights, she saw the outline of someone but she could not recognise who it was.

"Ayumi, you're finally awake."
"Sera is that you?'
"Yes it's me."

She sat up on her bed and saw someone lying down on the couch. She got up from her bed and walked towards the couch, much to the irritation of Sera.

"Hey you should stay in bed."
"Sakura? Why is she here?"
"Erm..."
"Sera! What's going on here?"
"I'm not sure either, but it seems she's the seraphim of water."
"What?!"
"And she's the one who risked her own life to save yours."
"Save me? What happened?"
"You got bitten by a vampire."
"Sakura..."

Tears streamed from the eyes of Ayumi as she looked at her friend lying there looking so weak and vulnerable.
"Ever since we were young, you've always protected me."
"Ayumi..."
"And now it almost cost you your life...Why Sakura? Why can't I be the one protecting you?"

As her tears dropped one by one unto Ayumi's face, her eyes started to open slowly. Sakura's hand slowly held Ayumi's hand. Ayumi stopped crying and looked at Sakura. She was smiling at her.
"Sakura?? You're alright!"
"Yes i am, Ayu...I'm happy you're ok too."

They embraced each other and Ayumi cried again in the arms of Sakura. Sera smiled and heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that both of them were awake.
"Those two are so close, I'm glad they're both alright." Thought Sera in his mind.

After the two girls settles down, Ayumi began to stare at Sakura seriously. Sakura already knew what was on her mind and asked the question on Ayumi's mind.
"You're wondering why I'm the serpahim of water aren't you?"
"Yes, aren't you wondering why im the seraphim of wind?"
"Well at first I was, but it didn't bother me."
"Our powers, I wonder how we got them."
"I've thought about that too."
"You seem so strong Sakura, how long have you known about it?"
"Remember the day our village was attacked by some unknown source and was burnt to the ground?"
"Yes...only two of us made it out alive."
"And then the princess came along and helped us."
"Princess Evie...I wonder how's she."

In another part of the country, something was happening in the castle. A girl was running through the dark corridors of the castle, trying to open room after room that she came to, but all the doors seemed to be locked. A soldier on duty saw her running and tried to stop her.

"Princess what's wrong, why are you running?"
"Something is chasing me!"
"I don't see anything."
"It's coming!"

The princess continued running and found a empty unlocked room. She ran in and locked herself inside. She hears the scream of the soldier not long after she enters the room. She shivers in fear and hides under the bed, cold sweat dripping slowly unto the floor.
