Angel Protector Chapter 22: Shock

As Sakura fired her deluge canon attack at the tornado, she closed her eyes in worry; not wanting to see what would happen. The beam shot straight at Ayumi who was still in a trance floating in the tornado. The beam hit the tornado but did not affect it at all; it continued to spin violently.

"Even that didn't work?"
"Ayumi wake up! You're going to destroy the city!"

She didn't respond as the tornado spun closer and closer to the city, creating a path of destruction the more it moved. Tress were being uprooted and the path of the tornado created a hole on the ground.

"We need to do something before it reaches the city."
"But it's too strong for us to stop."
"To think Ayumi has so much uncontrolled power in her."
"Let me try getting her out of there." said Sera.

Sera flew towards the tornado but instead of sucking him in, the tornado was actually repelling him away from it. He pushed himself towards the tornado but after a while, he was blown away and landed on a wall with a loud smash.

"Sera are you ok?"
"Don't worry I'll be ok. More importantly, we need to stop Ayumi!"
"How do we stop something we can't go near to?" asked Sakura.
"By using something that can reach her even from afar." suggested the princess.
"But what can we use?"

As the three of them ran from the tornado, they suddenly heard a faint sound of music.
"Music? Where is that coming from?"

They looked around and finally Sakura spotted Christy flying in mid air playing her harp.
"Look up there!"
"Who's that?"
"That's Christy, chief cherubim of Divinia."
"What is she doing?"
"I'm not sure."

Christy continued to play a soothing melody and the three of them felt like they were so peaceful. After playing for a while, the tornado started to slow down. It got smaller and smaller until it finally stopped. As the tornado stopped, Ayumi started to fall as there was now no tornado keeping her in mid air.

"Ayumi!"

Sera flew towards her as fast as he could and grabbed her just before she landed on the ground. He landed on the ground together with Christy as he continued to hold her in his arms. Christy opened a screen to Christine as she landed.

"Sister, are you free now?"
"What's the matter?"
"I need you to come here now."
"I'm on my way."

After some time, Christine was seen flying down from above. She hid her wings as she landed in front of Christy.
"What's the matter sister? You sounded so urgent."
"Take a look around you Christine."

Christine took her eyes off her sister and slowly looked at the surroundings. What she saw make her gasp in shock. She saw destruction all over the place. Trees had been uprooted, cars overturned, water from the fire hydrant splashing all over.

"What happened here?'
"That's what i would like to find out too." said Christy as she looked at Sera.
"Well...It's a long story."
"Just tell us everything."
"Before that, don't you think we should clear up this mess?"
"Yes I think we should."
"Take care of Ayumi, I'll clear up this mess."
"Sure."

Christine walked over to Ayumi and prepared her staff. However just as she was about to heal Ayumi, she saw no injuries on her.
"This is strange. Why is she unconscious when she has no injuries on her?"

Just as she was thinking that, Ayumi suddenly opens her eyes. Christine jumps back in surprise.
"What the..!!"
"Huh? Christine? What happened?"

Sakura helps her get up and stares at her.
"Don't you remember what happened?"
"No...the last thing i remember was hearing your voice and blanking out."
"Oh my..."

Ayumi looks around and sees Christy clearing up the mess. She was putting the trees back in place and everything else. All by playing her harp.
"What happened? Why is there such a big mess?"
"You did this Ayumi." said Sera seriously.
"What? I did this?" That can't be..."

Ayumi looks around her once more. She turns to look at the princess who also gave her a serious look. She turned to Sakura hoping she would reassure her but all Sakura did was nod her nead slowly.
"No that can't be..."

She cupped her hands to her face and she fell to the floor, crying softly.
