Angel Protector Chapter 12:Angel of death
The masked seraphim and Krysta exchanged more blows on the land and in the air. Sparks filled the night sky as Krysta’s scythe and the seraphim’s staff hit against each other. The sound of fighting filled the air as both of them continued to go at each other.
"Who are you? Why don't you take off your mask?"
"Defeat me and I'll tell you."
"You leave me no choice then."
Krysta jumped back some distance and started to say a spell. The seraphim focused and prepared herself for any magic she might have to receive.
"What is she doing? I must not be careless, should I strike her now?"
"Mistress, we should attack too."
"This is a risk but lets go for it Wy!"
"Canon mode activated."
"Deluge..."
The seraphim's staff changed forms once again as she started charging her deluge canon attack. Just as she was about to finish, Krysta suddenly finished her spell.
"Fira Explosia!"
Blades of fire surrounded the seraphim from all directions and struck her. The impact of the blades created a huge explosion and thick smoke covered the area.
"She should be dead; she took a direct hit from that attack."
"Well done Krysta, you've improved; your father will be pleased."
Melissa who had been standing at a corner watching her daughter fight finally came out and ruffled Krysta’s hair.
"Who was it anyway mum?"
"She should be the seraphim of water."
"That means we killed 2 seraphims tonight?"
"Yes, it's been a fruitful night."
As the smoke cleared, Krysta saw 2 figures coming out of the smoke.
"Mother! Look!"
"How's that possible? Someone saved her?"
Melissa's eyes opened wide in astonishment as she saw who had saved the seraphim. A male seraphim with dark raven hair and black eyes. He carried her out of the smoke and laid her down on the floor. Her mask had cracked and her robes torn.
"What are you doing here Uriel?"
"I came to save them; it's neither of their time to die yet."
"Who's that, mother?"
"Uriel...the angel of death."
"I don't want to fight you Melissa, please just leave."
"Before that, tell me how you saved her."
"I was a second too late, she had taken most of the damage, but the shield I casted managed to block some damage."
"Oh? Try blocking this!"
Melissa's nails extended to the seraphim that was lying on the floor but Uriel used his hand to stop it from reaching her.
"I said I don't want to fight you!"
"You don't have a choice do you?"
Melissa started to attack Uriel in the distance using her nails. She missed and her nails scratched thorough the floor and walls. Uriel drew his sword and tried blocking her relentless attacks. He flew high up and then towards her. Melissa used her nails to protect her slashed through the sides of Uriel's armor. His blood dripping on her nails. She licked the blood off her nails.
"A seraphim's blood. Delicious."
"You're still as strong as ever Melissa."
"And you're still as weak Uriel, makes me wonder why you're the angel of death."
Melissa started attacking him again but this time her attacks all missed. Uriel dodged them and started to run and jump on her nails towards her. He was about to slash her when she jumped back. However, she still got a cut on her shoulder.
"Hah, smart of you."
"Because you extend your nails, when someone goes near you, you're vulnerable."
"I'll leave for now. But those girls won't live for long, we'll come back to finish them next time."
Melissa and Krysta walked towards the darkness and disappeared into the shadows. Uriel walked towards the seraphim and took off her mask. Uriel had a surprised look on his face on his face, it was Sakura. She had now returned to her normal form, her wings and robes gone.
"All of them suffered heavy blows tonight, I can't heal them. Their threads of lives are still intact, thank god."
He went to Ayumi and Sera and gave a deep sigh.
"This 2 took the most damage tonight. They're hardly alive. Worse of all, they did this to each other."
Uriel paced around for awhile thinking what he should do. Suddenly he heard the flapping of wings behind him. He turned around and saw Christine.
"My my, we have a problem here don't we?"
